Useful for

Use cases llm-inferred
FRA flood history evidence: past flood warning dates and severity for sites in Wales · Validating flood event dates against gauge or rainfall records for a catchment study · Trend analysis of flood warning frequency by year for planning or drainage strategy context
Audience llm-inferred
flood consultants · hydrologists · planners · GIS analysts

Limitations

Constraints llm-inferred
Records switch systems in July 2024 (FWS/FWD to FWISfW), so the two files may not be directly comparable · Provider changed from Environment Agency to Natural Resources Wales; EA data runs only to 1 April 2013 · Quarterly update frequency means recent warnings may not appear immediately · Delivered as Excel files, not a live feed or API · Docs do not describe per-warning location fields, so spatial matching to sites is unverified
