Hydrology-related climate impact indicators from 1970 to 2100 derived from bias adjusted European climate projections

This dataset provides water variables and indicators based on hydrological impact modelling, forced by bias adjusted regional climate simulations from the European Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment (EURO-CORDEX). The dataset contains Essential Climate Variable (ECV) data in the form of daily mean river discharge and a set of climate impact indicators (CIIs) for both water quantity and quality. ECV datasets provide the empirical evidence needed to understand the current climate

Useful for

Use cases llm-inferred
Screening climate-change shifts in river flows and flood return-period magnitudes for European catchment assessments · Drought and low-flow context using minimum discharge, aridity and soil moisture indicators for water resources planning · Nutrient load and water temperature screening for catchment water quality context · Future-period (2011-2040, 2041-2070, 2071-2100) comparison against the 1971-2000 reference for climate risk appraisal
Audience llm-inferred
hydrologists · water resources engineers · flood risk consultants · climate risk analysts · environmental consultants · water quality scientists · planners

Limitations

Constraints docs-verified
Model output, not observations; river discharge is simulated by E-HYPEcatch · Future degree-scenario periods differ by GCM, so actual time periods vary by model · Updates on irregular intervals · Available version 1.0 only · Europe-only domain
