SuDS Bedrock_permeability

This dataset is part of the infiltration SuDS map and infiltration SuDS GeoReport. It has been developed to help inform planning decisions. This dataset shows the permeability of the bedrock for the purposes of determining whether the installation of infiltration sustainable drainage systems is possible. It differs from the permeability indices dataset in the following ways: a score field has been added to polygons, polygons of equal attributes have been merged, a short and detailed description

Useful for

Use cases llm-inferred
Desk-based screening of infiltration SuDS feasibility across a planning site or area · Bedrock permeability input to an infiltration-led drainage strategy · Early-stage planning constraint mapping for soakaway suitability
Audience llm-inferred
drainage engineers · planners · geotechnical engineers · GIS analysts · hydrologists

Limitations

Constraints llm-inferred
No stated spatial resolution or map scale · Reuse restricted by BGS/NERC copyright; licence terms appear to conflict with OGL v3.0 footer · BGS/NERC gives no warranty on accuracy or suitability for any use; use is at the customer's own risk · Dataset reference date is 2011-03 with update frequency as needed, so currency should be checked
