Distributed potential recharge projections for the UK, based on UK Climate Projections 2018 (UKCP18) data, from the Enhanced Future Flows and Groundwater (eFLaG
The dataset contains 2 km resolution gridded daily potential groundwater recharge time series covering the British mainland from the Enhanced Future Flows and Groundwater (eFLaG) project. The data include simulations driven with historical observed climate data (1962-2018) and simulations driven with bias-corrected UKCP18 'Regional' 12km projections.

Useful for
- Use cases llm-inferred
- Groundwater recharge baseline for flood risk and groundwater assessments under UKCP18 climate scenarios · Climate-change sensitivity of recharge for SuDS infiltration and water balance studies · Hydrogeological input to groundwater resource and abstraction-licence assessments
- Audience llm-inferred
- hydrogeologists · hydrologists · flood risk consultants · water resources engineers · environmental consultants
Limitations
- Constraints llm-inferred
- Recharge is modelled (ZOODRM, land use and topography), not observed · Projection runs are driven by bias-corrected 12 km UKCP18 regional data, so the 2 km output inherits coarser driver resolution · Temporal extent is stated as 1962-2018; projection periods are not stated in the docs · Covers the British mainland only · Scripted download example uses a personal access token in the Authorization header
